I had been fishing in the top bay for a good few hours when ginger Paul came round to have a chat and we stood there looking out over the lake, as you do!
I spotted a fish roll just off the willow bay and turned to paul and asked if he had seen it?
Yes he said, a good fish by the look of it.
Well, that was it!
I wound in my rods, picked up my smartcast and made my way around to the willow bay.
A few quick cast’s reveled a close in weed bed, with the spot clear and fish over it!
15 minutes later I was back! and… within the hour i had a new personal best!
Bertie! @ an amazing 29.4lb and boy doesn’t he look good!
